Like many of the Gower Peninsula Sea Caves , a low tide is required to visit most of Caswell Bay 's small caves. None are of any substantial size but they do add further interest for the keen beach explorer.
Three of Caswell's caves, which consist of quite narrow passages/avenues in the coastline, begin around a hundred and forty metres from the beach shops and to the left of the bay. Although these can all be found quite easily, their ordnance survey co-ordinates are:
SS 5935 8752
SS 5934 8745
SS 5945 8735
Caswell's remaining caves can be found to the west of the bay. At SS 5899 8754, three openings in the cliff meet in a single small cave, illuminated by a natural skylight. Several metres further (SS 5898 8758) another cave, five metres above sea level, contains traces of stalagmite. Further caves can also be located at:
SS 5892 8745
SS 5890 8743
SS 5916 8765
SS 5940 8743
