A book that is heavily packed with historic photographs. Unlike the author's other title - 'The Mumbles Train' (see above) - these pictures are accompanied by an in depth study and overview of the subject. Each of the lifeboats that have stood sentinel over this dangerous region of the Bristol Channel is covered and the book also contains a valuable appendix. All in all, an exemplary title that is worthy of a place on any local historian's bookshelf.
