A Tour of the Gower Coast 2008

The Gower Peninsula is a visually stunning landscape located on the South West coast of Wales. In 1956, it was chosen as Britain's first 'Area of Outstanding Natural beauty' (AONB). Whilst the entire peninsula is rich in wildlife, history and picturesque charm, Gower's true fame lies with its scenic coastal splendour and unspoiled beaches. It is this aspect of the Gower Peninsula that I will explore and celebrate over the course of 2008.
Over these twelve months, I hope to cover Gower's entire stretch of limestone cliffs, pebbly coves, sandy beaches and estuarine salt marsh, taking in its coastal caves, seaside flora and fauna and uncovering some of its nautical history and folklore along the way.
