Chris Elphick

Me In Penrice
Chris Elphick grew up in the quiet, estuarine village of crofty, North Gower. Fascinated by the countryside around him, he developed an interest in the local history of Gower and used the peninsula as his main subject matter whilst studying for his BTEC National Diploma (1988 -1990) and BA (Honours) degree (199 -1994) in Photography.

Now residing in the City of Swansea, Chris returns to Gower with his family on a weekly basis to further his exploration of this beautiful landscape and spread his appreciation and love of this unique part of the world via Welcome to Gower.

Chris Elphick's written and photographic work has been published across the world in various media and his advice has been sought for numerous television and radio programmes and publications pertaining to the Gower Peninsula.

Whilst his work for Welcome to Gower continues from strength to strength, Chris also finds time to write creative literature (he is currently producing a series of supernatural stories based in Gower). He also produces a site on Glastonbury (his second favourite place after the Gower Peninsula). He currently holds down a full-time career in the Civil Service.
